Special Meeting
July 1, 1959
Meeting called to order at 6:30 p.m. Ail members present.
A request was received from Carl Hanson to install sanitary sewer
to serve Lots 9 and 10, Block 1, Auditor's Subdivision of Walton's
2nd Subdivision, located on Tyler Street between 44th and 45th Ave.
and agrees to install this main as directed by the City Engineer.
Motion by Julkowski seconded by Proft, that this request be granted to
Carl Hanson. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Resolution offered by Chies seconded by King, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by
the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights,
WHE~S, The Liquor Operations Manager is holding two checks in the
total amount of $93.50,
WHEREAS, the said checks have been returned marked 'Not sufficient funds'
WHERF2%S, the said checks are not collectable, therefore
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights,
that the Liquor Operations Manager be authorized to credit the Petty
Cash Fund of the Liquor Store in the sum of $93.50, said sum to be
transferred from the Liquor Fund. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Motion by King seconded by Proft, that check No.2243 - 1957 and check
No.570 - 1958, be cancelled. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Motion by Julkowski seconded by King, ~hat New Brighton Plbg. & Htg. Inc.
be granted a plumbing license. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Motion by Proft seconded by King, cancelling all licenses of Walt Harrier,
4010 Central Avenue N.E. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Motion by Chies seconded by Julkowski, that Peter Hawfitch be granted
license for Restaurant, Cigarette, On & Off Sale Beer, at 4010 Central
Avenue N.E. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Motion by King seconded by Chies, that City employees be given Friday
July 3rd, as the July 4th Holiday. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Regarding Ordinance No.426, amending Ordinance ~171 for Special Use
Permit, the City attorney reported that the Attorney General opinion
was that this is valid.
Motion by Proft seconded by King, that the meeting adjourn at 7 p.m.
