Meeting called to order at 8 p.m.
April 20, 1959
Ail members present.
A discussion was held with Mr. Shattuck regarding the new zoning Plan
before this special meeting. ,
The purpose of the meeting tonight is for the adoption of Resolutions
on State Aid routes and requirements.
Resolution offered by Proft seconded by King, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by
the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights, that
WHEREAS, plans for State Aid Project No.02-604-01, showing proposed
al.ignment, profiles, grades and cross-sections, together with speci-
fications and special provisions for-the construction of County-State
Aid Highway No.4, within the limits of the City as a State Aid Project
have been prepared and presented to the City.
N~K~, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED: That said plans, specifications and
special provisions be in all things approved. Roll Call - Ail Ayes.
Resolution offered by King seconded by Chies, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED
by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights, that the Mayor and
City Manager be authorized to enter into agreements between the City of
Columbia Heights and the Commissioner of Highways, regarding parking
restrictions on Jefferson Street N.E. between 45th and 49th; and 44th
Avenue between McLeod and Reservoir Blvd., which streets are to receive
..-Municipal State Aid Funds for improvements thereon. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Mr. King mentioned that the Lions Club wanted th~ assurance from the
Council that they could plan on placing American Flags on the Parking
meter posts on Holidays. General agreement with such a plan was expressed
by the Council.
Motion by Julkowski seconded by Chies, that the meeting adjourn at
8:30 p.m.
