The City Manager reported that a hearing would be held at 11:30 ~4onday morning, March 23rd, at the State Capitol on the compulsory arbitration bill, and on his recommendation the following resolution was adopted, to be presented by him at the Hearing: Resolution offered by King seconded by Proft,- BE IT ~REBY .RESO~ by the City Council of the Citymof Columbia Heights,that they a~ representatives of the citizens of Columbia Heights, are opposed to the adoption by the State Legislature of the Compulsory Arbi%ration Bill ~HF 971 SF 43V, due to the stipulation making arbitration panel findings final and binding with awards required to be paid by the municipality. The City Council FURTHER RESOLVES, That this portion of the Bill constitutes an unreasonable encroachment on the rights of the governing bodies of municipalities. Roll Call - Ail Ayes. This ~is for storm sewers to se~cve the low area at ~J, th and ?~ashington, and between 45th and 4.~th on ¥[ashington, and between 45th and .4-6th on Jefferson, and also the ].ow area at the turn around at 45th and Madison.
