Roll Call - All Ayes. Secondereading of Ordinance No.421, Re-adoption of ordinance ~421 providing for the issuance of $150,000. of Bonds for the erection of a Municipal Building. Offered by Proft seconded by Chies. Roll Call - All Ayes. A letter was received from the Police Department asking to meet with the City Council to discuss wages, the Police department to be represented by Monroe Dragsten. The Council agreed to try to meet with him on Thursday late in the afternoon. Hearing on Sewer extension east side of Reservoir Blvd., north of 44th. Motion by Chies seconded by Proft, that this hearing be continued until the necessary investigations are completed. Roll Call - All Ayes. er ing. on .Sewer and water extensions on 3rd Street between 42nd & 44th. o=ion Dy King seconded by Proft, that this hearing be continued until the February 23r~ meeting. H~aring on Curb assessment for 43rd Avenue west of McLeod and 46th Avenue from University to 7th Street. ~ Motion by Profg seconded by King, that this hearing be heid over until the February 23rd meeting. Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by King seconded by Chies, authorizing the Mayor and City Manager to enter into an agreement with the County of Anoka on maintenance of County State Aid roads within Columbia Heights Roll Call - All Ayes. The Council agree~ to meet with Mr. Shattuck Thursday, February 12th, at 3 p.m. The matter of sale of city owned land was discussed and the City Attorney. agreed to make recommendations. Mr. Watson reported the Planning & Zoning Commission have set a public hearing for March 3rd on the Collins request for a special use permit. A request was presented to the Council that an Attorney General's opinion be acquired by our City Attorney, regarding methods of amending Ordinance No.171, with respect to special use permits. Motion by Proft seconded by Chies, that this request dated February 9th, with reference to Ordinance No.426 amending ordinance No.171, be turned over to the City Attorney and referred to the Attorney _General. Roll Call - All Ayes. The City Engineer reported on proposed improvements and repairs at the City Shop, insulating, outside painting, etc. Motion by King seconded by Proft,,that the City Manager authorize the County Surveyor to check all our plats. Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by ICing seconded by Chies, that R.D. Thomas & Associates be pp~ the sum of $3,697.56, out of the proper funds. Roll Call - All Ayes. Our City Attorney reported he had been meeting with the City Attorney in Minneapolis regarding their water lines in our streets and was trying to get together with Minneapolis on an agreement. Motion by Proft secodded by King, that cigarette license be granted to R.J. Eberhard for 513 - 40th Avenue and 3928 Central Avenue. Roll Call - All Ayes. Mr. Alan R. Brodin, 4854 Monroe Street was present a~d wished to go on record as being opposed to sewer and water installation in. front of his property. Motion by King seconded by Proft, that the meeting adjourn at 10 p.m. Roll Call - Ail Ayes. S~retary to City Council
