First order of business - opening,of bids for Surfacing Reservoir Blvd.
Total bids were as follows:
Barton Contracting Co. 875,202.71 Ray Sina 884,097.50
C.S. McCrossan,Inc. 76,345.60 Jay W. Craig Co. 94,799.05
~tion by Julkowski seconded by King, that th~e bids be turned
over to the City Manager for tabulation. Rol~ Call - All Ayes.
Engineer reported on alley between Polk & Buchanan from 37th to 39th,
stating there are problems regarding drainage and the re-laying of
part of the watermain in this alley.
b~tion by Chies seconded by Julkowski, settingl an official public
hearing on this alley at the September 8th meeting, and that all
people concerned be notified. Roll Call - All Ayes.
A recess was called at 9 p.m.
Reconvened at 9:10 p.m.
Mr. Shattuck informed the Council that definit~ information on
recommended zoning would not be available unti~ the week of
September 15th. No recommendations are available at this time.
Regarding the new municipal building the Council stated that
S.C. Smiley & Associates should contact the Fire and Police
department as to~heir needs and that the Council would serve
as a building committee.
