Avenue for about 150' something should be done ~o stabilize this street
as it is being washed out.
Motion by King seconded by Proft, that the necessary stabilizing be put
in on 50th Avenue ?~..st from University. Ball Call - Ail Ayes.
Mr. Chies reported on 41st Avenue east from Reservoir Blvd. particularly
at Silver Lake School and asked if something c~ld be done. The engineer
was asked to make a study of this matter and r~ort to the next meeting.

A Hearing was held on alley between Polk & Buchanan from 37th to 39th.
A letter was received from Mr. & Mrs. Louis Coenen, 3871 Polk St. stating
they were opposed to the alley being paved. A petition was received
from thirteen property owners asking that this alley be graded & Asphalt
topping. A lengthy discussion took place.
Motion by Julkowski seconded by King, that four prints be made of the study
of ~x~nk~ existing alley and made av~lable to anyone interested.

Motion by King seconded by Julkowski, that this hearing on above alley
be continued until the October 13th meeting and cards be sent out
notifyihg the effected property owners. Roll Call - All Ayes.
A Petition was received for curb & gutter on Pierce Terrace.
Motion by Proft seconded by Chies, that a Hearing be held for this
improvement on September 22, on both sides. Roll Call - Ail Ayes.
A request was received for permission to extend the City watermain
on 4th Street north of 46th Avenue.
Motion by Julkowski seconded by King, that this request be granted
providing it meets the satisfaction of the State Board of Health.

A request was received from Dick Gregor, 4956 Jefferson St.N.E. for
permlssion to install a Sanitary sewer extension and watermain on
Washington from 49th Avenue south to serve his property.

Motion by Julkowski seconded by Chies, that a special meeting of
the City Council and the Park Board be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, September
11, 1958, to discuss the proposed Plat of Mr. Glover's area, and with
the Architects for the new Municipal ~uilding at 8 p.m. Roll Call -
All Ayes.
Resolution offered by King seconded by Julkowski, BE IT HEREBY
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights, that after
the second warning on non-payment of utility bills, the water service
to that property shall be discontinued unless full payment is rendered
within seventy-two (72) hours of the final notice.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED-that a fee of $10.00 be charged as a service
charge on closing and re-opening of the shut-off valve, said fee to
be paid before the line be put back in service. Roll Call - Ail Ayes.

by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights,· that the City
Manager is hereby empowered to complete negotiations for the purchase
of the southerly 160 feet of Lots 5 and 6, Block 4, Reservoir Hills,
for the sum of $670.00. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Motion by King seconded by Proft, that the Columbia Heights City
Council meet with Hilltop Village Council at 8 P.M. Monday,
