Motion by Chies, seconded by King that the City Manager be a~horized to go ahead with the black topping of 43rd Avenue. Roll call - all ayes. , A Hearing WaS held on bituminous surfacing of Seeond Street, ~4 to 45. Notion by Julkowski, seconded by Chies, that the City Manager be authorized to pro- ceed with this work. Roll call - all ayes A hearing was held on concrete sidewalk, West side of 4th Street, ~51 to ~2nd. Lotion by Chies, seconded by King authorizing the engineer to proceed with this sidewalk. ~ ? ~ Roll call -~all ayes. A Hearing was held on concrete curb on Second Street, ~4 to ~45. ~otion by ~ King, seconded by Julkowski, authorizing the installation of this curb.- ~ Roll call - all ayes. City Engineer Donald ~Dencker reported that the concrete curb and bituminous surfacing of Second Street, 44 to 45 were petitioned for 1958 construction, and ~ the work .will pro~ably not be done umtil then. ~ ~ A hearing was held on the sanitary ,sewer reconstruction on 43 Avenue, East of Central. Notion by Julk~vski, seconded by Chies ~that the City Engineer call for bids on the reconstruction of the sanitary sewer ~on 43rd Avenue from McLeod approximately 275 lineal feet ¥~est. Roll call - all ayes several interested persons ~ppeared and presented a petition opposing the storm sewer in the Roslyn Park area, and asking that the Council reconsider the matter before negotiating v~th Fridley. Mayor Stopka announced that a meeting is set for V~eduesday August 14 with the Fridley Village ~ouncil, and invited the inter- ested persons to be present at that time. ~ Motion by King, seconded by Julkowski that the petition concerning the Roslyn Park Storm £ewer be placed on file, ~ Roll call - all ayes Recess called at 9:35 ~.~- No,ting called to order at 9'~45~ .
