The bid on mosquito control was taken up and representatives from ~arr
Spra~xng Service and H & W Spraying Service were present and explained their
method of spraying. It was decided to stud~ this further and take up again
at a special meeting to be held June 17th. '

The method ~ payment for Mosquito control was discussed. The City Attorney
gave the info~nation that according to a State Ruling, no more than 1 m~
could be added to taxes for Mosquito control, ~hich would amount to around
$4~000.00. The City Manager stated he ~uld confer with the Department
of Agriculture regarding the method approved to be. used. The decision on
awarding of bids and method of payment ~ be made at a special meeting
to be called in a day or two.
The Engineer's report on Municipal State Aid System route selection and
needs stud~ was discussed, md he was asked to submit his proposal to Mr.
Evans, County Division of Minnesota State Higheay Department.
It ~as agreed to hold over until the next regular meeting the matter of
signing Agreement with Minnesota Highway Department for Traffic Signal
to be insteJ.led at 40th and University Avenue N.E.
The change in construction of storm sewer in Mathaire Addition was discussed.
The City Attorney is going to check into this to determine the proper method
of handling this, whether by Contract Amendment or emergency Ordinance.
