Motion by Holm seconded by Hosch, that street lights be installed as per

The~ City Engineer stated he would like to hold up the report on 19~? Street
progr~n, until the nezt regular c~unctl .meeting.
Mr'. Cabauowski and others living on the west~ side of 7th Street, between ~th
~nd~ 4.6th Avenue were present and inquired about being reimbursed when anyone
living on the east 'side Df the street connects up with this sewer which they
are-pa~ing for. ~ The ~ngineer was asked to study and mnvestigate this. situation
and-report back at the next regular meeting.. ~
A hearing was held on Sanitary Sewer and water on Jefferson between 45th an~ ~46th
Avenue. The Engineer gave the estimated cost of $9.14 for full installation
an~ also sta~ed additional easements were required.
Notion by Hosch seconded by Julkowski, that ~he City Manager be authorized to
advertise for bids for this improvement~ ~Roll Call -Ail Ayes.

Motion by Holm seconded by Knutson, that the City Manager be a~t~horized to
advertise for bids fqr this watermain. Roll Call - All Ayes. .
A Hearing wa~ he,id on storm sewer for ~lock 21, iRoslyn Park or ,alley between.
4th and 5th Street from 50th to 51st. The Engineer gave a report of this
and estimated cost-of $1~50 per front foot, ~ut stated he would recommend
hol~ing this until the next meeting in orde= to get additional easements.
A ~equest was ~received from Mark Jones in regar~ls to building on qertain lots.
Motion by Holm seconded by Knutson, that. this ,request .be ~eferred to the
Pl~u~ing and Zoning CommissiOn and a report~brought back to the next regular.

was alright unless there would be something in the By-laws of the Civil

A request was made for the return of Petitions-against .Bus Route on Monroe
Street, ~which were turned over to the Council Jmiuary 22nd, 1957.

of these Petitions protesting Bus travel on Monroe Street~ to the Railroad
and Warehouse Commission, and explaining that i% is~ the request of the Petitioners.

did on the llth day of February, 1957, file a report concerning the Audit mhd
investigations of the affairs of the City of Columbia Heights, for the year
19%2 ~ 1955 inclusive, and
WHEREAS~ o~ examination and study of the ~bove reports, reveals that said
report is incomplete and does not include certain informatior~ furnished that
departm~nt~ and also does not include facts and information divulged by the
E~iners znd hi~ deputies during the course of the Audit, therefore be it
RESOLVED; that the Public E~miner be, and is hereby directed and instructed
to issue an addendum to the aforesaid report, which report shall include the
facts as above stated and sh~l_T also include a detailed report of the follo~ing,
to wit:
1~ All charges, allegations and-complaints of wrongful acts
purported to have been committed by officials of the City~
of Columbia Heights, both electiVe a~x! appointive,~ which
