Disposition of bids for Stoz~ Sewer, Ssnitary Sewer and Watermain, received January 8, ~1957. The City Engineer reported Beatson & Kelly were the low bidder and their work was found to be satisfactory. ~ ~Motion by Hosch seconded by Julkowski, that Beatson & Kelly be awarded the bid at a total cost of $26,929.65. Roll Call - A1~1 Ayes. The Engineer reported on the proposed changes ~_u construction of Sewer and ~ater in Nathaire Addition. Notion by Hosch seconded by Julkowski, that this matte~-be tabled ~util. the meeting of February 12th. Roll CaLl - All Ayes. The Engineer reported on alleys between 6th and 7th Streets in Rosl~n Park, stating they should be made fourteen feet wide. Notion by Hosch seconded by Julkowski, that the Engineer be authorized to contact the people living in this area regarding this matter. Roll Call - All Ayes. A letter was received from the City of Minneapolis Tequesting that we sign au agreement with them providiug for discharge of sto~ water into the sewer mains of Minneaoolis as requested by Col.~mbia Heights. Motion by'Hosch seconded by Julkows~, that the City Manager and Mayor be ~ authorized to execute an. Agreement with the City of Minneapolis and Col~bia Heights, for the discharge of storm water at 3?th and Madison Place. Roll Call - All AyeS. Roll Call - Ail Ayese Resolution offered by Hosc~ seconded by Julkowski, W~fl~AS, there has been presented to the Legislature a bt2I. to provide a Metropolitan Planning Co~ssicn to serve the five County area camprising the Counties of Hennepin, Ramsey, Aueka, Washington and Dakota, andl ~ER~A~, this bill, besides the establishment of such commission has provided far membership, their powers and duties and the method of financing the work of this Cammission, and; WHEREAS, in the opinion of the City Counc~.l of the City of Columbia Heights, it is necessary and expedient that such a c~ission be established to promote orderly growth of the metropolitan area; THEHEFO~E BE 1T ~ESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights endorses, and requests that the above b~ll be enacted into a law, and be it further, ~ESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the members of the legislature representing this district for their attention and support.
