Meeting was called to order at 8:10 P.M. All members present.
Minutes of the previous regular and special meetings read and approved.
Notion by Nygaard, seconded by Jackson, that the-Police Report in regards
to 'the license application (On and Off-Sale Beer) of Erwin Newton be
placed on. file. Moll Call -Ail ayes.
Notion by Nygaard, seconded by Jackson, that the application of Erwin Newton
for restaurant, cigarette and On and Off-$aIe beer licenses at 4001 Central
Ave. be granted. MolI Call -Ail ayes.
~epresentative of E and J Mesuscitator Co. appeared before Council solicit-
ing the City's purchase of a resuscitator machine to be installed on the
fire truck. Chief Schwartz recommended that Mire Dept. make the inhalator
(owned by F. D.) do until such time as proposed ambulance is purchased
and then obtain a new machine as part off rescue squad equipment.
Zotion by. Nygaard, seconded by. Spekulant, that fire protection be provided
for 4OEO Main St. N. E+ if fire insurance for fire calI is inereased to
$~.00.00 per call. Moll Call -Ail ayes.
Motion l~y Ny'guard, seconded by Jackson, that collateral submitted' by First
N~atI. Bank of Np!s. (Beadle County, So. Dak. Refunding Bond cf 1944 - I~%-
due 7/lf~ - $15,000.00) be accepted as' security for City's funds deposited
there, subject to approval of City Attorney and City Treasurer. ROll

City Manager reported on meeting held with business men regarding 10 min.
parking zones on Central Ave. Decided such time limit is too short.
Meccmmended that zone from 40th Ave. to alley by Post Office be changed
to 3'0 min. parking. P~Iice Dept. to distribute courtesy cards designating
fires parking lots to those motorists parking on Central Ave. in business
