The City ~tanager presented' the report of the ~in~. Dept, o~ Health 5n
Silver Lake, with spec~ial emphasis on advisabiIity of development of a
City bathing beach. Report racommended that presant location of pro-
pose'd beach is un'desirabla.~ Contend' that water in Si!vet Lake is not
satisfactory for swimming' purposes~..

Joe Pod'any appeared before the Council regarding resignation of Clint
SchuItz from Police Department and; requesting Council's consideration
fo~ appointment as police sergeant., position formerly held .by ~,~.
S~hultz.
~:totion by Jackson, second_ed by Nygaard, that ClviI Servilce Commission be
requested' to supply the Councii with eligible list for police sergeant's
position, andaunderstanding that ~¢~r. POdany is first on said list, that
