All members present. ~inutes of the previous regular and special meetings read and approved with the follow- ing omission noted in the June 1Eth minutes: motion regarding establishment of 40 hr. week for City employees to specify that 40 hr. week to be effec- tive July 1st, 1945. City Attorney's office a~vised Council that no City oreinance on bingo play- zng is necessary; bingo games can be conducted under the State ruling if notice is submitte~ to the City ZO days p~ior to date of such game. ~'.~otice of hearing read on following proposed improvement: watermain on Stznson Elvd. between ~©th and ~lst Aves. Extension of ~.,~r. Cederberg and ~Lr. Hallberg were present at the hearing. City ~anager stated estimated cost for each property ovaner for inst~llation of ~'atermain. Hearing no objection to proposed improvement, ~otion ~as made by Jackson, seconded by ~ygaard, that City }.lanager proceed ?,'ith the extension of the Stinson Blvd. watermain. BZ iT HEREB'~~ RES~LV~D by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights that the City Treasurer be and she is hereby authorized to transfer the s~m of .~50.00 from the Liquor Fund to the Park fund; and that there are sufficient moneys in said Liquor Fund to make such transfer.
