Council reques~ing the City to purchase Lots ~, 4 and 5 in Block 64 and
grant, permission to place the recently purchased Youth Center building on
said .lots, stating that permission had been granted by the Library Board to
use Lot~ 1 and Z in the same- block (already owned by the CitY) for such
purpo, se. ~ommittee..also offered a room in. the xouth Center to house the

Motioln by Bentzen, seconded by Jackson, that the City Manager be instructed'

The meeting was called to order at 8:20 P. M. All members oresent.

Minutes of the previous
Motion by Jackson, seconded by Nygaard, that the aoolication of the Rocket Oil Co. to
onerate a gasoline filling station at 3907 Central'kve. N. E. be granted. Roll Call - All
ayes.
Harold A. Cameron nresented a oetition requesting the Council to extend the City water main
from S~inson Blvd. and 42nd Ave. N. E. north to 45th Ave. Discussion.
Motlan by Bent~e:, seconded by Spekulant, that the netition be turned over to the City
Manager for checking and. that he reoort back at next regular meeting. Roll Call - All ayes.
Delegation aopeared before the Council reouesting the installation of curb and gutter on
40th Ave. east of Central.
City Manager reported letter received from the County Engineer stating that County re-
auested that the City take over the maintenance of Fortieth Ave.; thus ft can be,inoroved
by the City, and the City will bill the County for such in~rovement. Discussion.
Petitioners were assured that their request would be partially taken care of at this
time by said il~orovements.
City Ms~ager reported request from Columbia Height~ Park Board to establish an official
Band Board. Discussion.
Motion by Jackson, seconded by Nygaard, that the City Attorney be instructed to draw up
an ordinance establishing a five men~er band board; Roll Call - All ayes.

The meeting was called to order at 8:10 P.M. All members present. Minutes of the orev-
ious meeting read and approved. ' -
Mr. Cameron, together with other interes~property owners, appeared before the Council
inquiring as to progress on the extension of city water .main on Stinson Blvd.
