Sauber aope~red before the Co~nac~l In protest of violations of the horse .ordi~nce, and Cuest%oned the v~lid, tty of an ordinance which failed to stand up tn court. ~ney were advised by the City Attorney that the ordinance ~vos ~deo'~te but t~t testi~uony presented at the trial in ouestion was insufficient to gain a conviction. ~,~r. J. F. Geronsin reouested audience of the Co~Lucil in reg~rds to the est~.blis~ent of a Youth Center in this city. He stated that the Co~r~'~ity ~,~ethodist Ch,~ch had offered o~rtars ~ut~.l such tf:~e as a s~it~%le building.could be erected, ~nd theft they also were r-ea~ to .donate a oortion of the ch~h ~rooerty for the sit~ of such a Center. ~,~r. Get,sin ~int~ined that such a project would need the suo0ort of every organization in the city as the Center would be of vital interest to the entire co~nity; and t~t flnanci~l ~id from an outside source was forthcoming. Discussion. It was dec~ded that due to the ~.ture of the project, the Co~cil was the logic=l body to i~u~rate the clan. Bentzen and Jackson anoointed to act on a gene~l clangoring committee in this regard.
