The meeting was Called to order at 8:20 P. M. All members present. Minutes of the
previous meeting read and aoproved with following Correction: that motion relating
to the acceptance of collateral of the First National Bank of Minneapolis be changed
to re~d ,,subject to the approval of the City Attorney and the City Treasurer".
Motion by Nentzen, seconded by Nygaard, that the application of the Lindgren Elec.
Co. for an electrical license be granted. Roll-0all - All ayes. ..
Reoort for 1943/submitted by Dr. J. S. Blumentb~l-,.. City Health Doctor, read. Motion
by~ Jackson, seconded by Spekulant, that the said report be placed on file. Roll .0all -
All ayes.
Bids for Workmen's Com~.ensation Insurance for the ensuing Year were opened:

Motiofi by Bentzen, seconded by Nygaard, that the bid of' the Employers Mutual Liability
Ins. Co. for the renewal of the present policy be accepted. Roll Call - All ayes.
Question of raise in ps~v for utility men considered. Decision made that the matter
be tabled until the next meeting.
Omar Schwartz appeared before the Council in regards to re-instatement at his old
job. 'As per resolution passed Au, gust 2~, 194Z,'relating to the right of servicemen
to return"to former employment, hr. Schsartz to~return to his former position;
present employee, William 0stmoe, also to be' retained. ~.tter of salary to be
decided at the next meeting.
0ity Manage~ reported request for increase in salary for the janitor-of the liquor
store~ Subsequent discussion. Decided to table matter until next meeting.
City Manager made report on findings of check on J. F. Geronsin assessment claim on
sidewalk project on Forty-first Ave. N. E. between Fifth and Sixth Sts. Settlement
of matter set aside until Mr. Geronsin's return'to this City.
Motion by Jackson, seconded by'~entzen, that the bills be allowed out of their
proper funds. Roll Call - All Ayes.
