of the last meeting were read and approved with the changing of the term
"asst. city attorney" to read "city attorney, pro tern".
Motion by nygaard seconded by dackson that check ho. ].~519 in the amount of
~25.00 be returned to the ~ay~r~s Contingent fund. Roll Call - ~11 ~yes
Resolutio~ offered by Jackson seconded by ~ygaard that The City Council
of the City of Columbia Heights !'-_araby Resolves: That the Fidelity State
Bank be designated as an offici_~] deoository of funds for the ~ity of
Columbia ~leights for a period of one year commencing Oct. 8, 1943, end
that said Fidelity ~tate Bank shall furnish to the City of Columbia Heights
such bonds or coll?~teral for security of n-_oni~s deposited there '~s
required by ?daso~'s ~Vlinn. Statutes Vol. 3 Section 1973-1 and Laws
Amendatory thereto. Roll Call - all ayes.

The matter of the drainage condition East of Central Avenue north of 45th
was discussed and it was decided that the COrdacii take a look at it in the
field. The matter was ].aid over till the next meeting.
Mr. W~nuan of 4040 2nd St. appeared in regard to cutting down the alley
between 40th and. 4!st, ~iain and 2nd st. Mbtio~tby, u~ackson seconded by
Nygaard that the city manager be instructed to go dorm to the alley on
2nd st to investigate the matter and the~ report back to the Council.
