Mr. Ekberg aooea~d as sookesman for a co~itt.ee of citizens who comolain abou~ the
riding stables. They were asked to be oresent at the next regular council meeting
to oresent their charges to the acting city attorney.
Motion by Jackson seconded by Soekulant that meeting be adjourned until Wed., Oct. 6,
at 7:30. Roll Call -- ~Jl ayes.

Regular meeting -- October 12, 1943
Meeting called to order at 8:45 P.I,~. All mercers oresent. Minutes of the last
meet2ngs were read and a. ooroved.
Reoresentatives from 544-Truck Drivers Union, Mr. Cook, and Mr. Shulow, s.ooeared
in behalf of city truck drivers who ask for .an increase in wages co~arable to
wages obtained, by Minneamolis city truck drivers.
Delegation aoneered in regard to the riding stables violating the ordin.~nce. Motion
by Jackson seconded by $oe_kulant that city ~ansger make temmor~ry nzz~bers or
other means of identification to be used by the ridi~-~tables until the mermenent
nu~mbers can be obt~,ined. Roll Call - all a,yes.
Motir,n by Bentzen seconded by Ja. cl-_son that city m~nager notify the riding stables
to register their horses as soon as the numbers are comoleted. Roll Call - all a,ves.

by the ~merican Legion to discuss most-war -,lanning on Monday, Oct. 18. '
Motion by Nygaar5 seconded by Soe~l~nt to grant reouest of Na.tionsl Tea Co. to
transfer cigarette license fr~m 4000 Centr=.l Ave. to 40°0 Central Ave. Roll Call-
