Meeting was called to order at 8:35 P.I.~. All members nresent. The minutes of the
last meeting were read and aonroved.
1.~otion by 1,rygasrd seconded by Soekulant thet cigarette licenses be granted to
Verne Passage, A. H. Ittner, and P. Thilman at 530 Hill St. ~. E. Roll Call - all eye?
Motion by Jackson seconded by Soekm~lant that netitlon concerning alley between Central
Avenue and Van Burmm St. South of 40th Ave. be turned over to the City Manager for
investigation. ~oll Call - all ayes
Notion by Bentzen seconded by Jackson to cancel licenses held by Oscar Chalman for
547 - 40th Ave. N. E. Roll Call - all ayes
Motion by Jackson seconded by Spelrmlant to gra~Axel Peterson licenses for on and
off sale beer, cigarette, smd restanrant at 547 - 40th Ave. Roll Call - ell eyes
Motion by Bentzen seconded by Jackson to. lay s~plic~tion of' Curtis Doemel for Cigarette,
on 8nd eff sale beer, end restaurant licenses over till the next regular council meeting

Motion by Jackson seconded by' !,Tygaard that cormmunication from Gov. Ed Thye regarding
the sponsoring of the film "THIS IS THE J~ql~f" for the benefit of Arnp~ Emergency Relief
be turned over to the Civic Imorovement Assosiation or any other active organization.

The City Nan~ger gave a reoort of the convention of City Nanagers held Sect. 10th - 13th
in Chicago.
Notion by ~entzen seconded by l~ygsard that Chief of Police is instructed to send
whomever he w~shes to the Au_~ilisry Police School at Fort Snelling the 18th and 19thsf
Seotember and then to turn in a bill to the City Co~cil. Roll Cell - all ayes.
