Motion by Bentzen, seconded by Jackson, that the petition for curb, gu~ter, and sidewalk on both sides of the street and surfacing on 4th St. from A2nd to A5th, be turned over to the City ~anager for check on delinquencies. Roll call - All ayes. ~otion by Bentzen, seconded by Spekulant to place on file letter regarding defense housing, from Senator Ball and Mr. Monsees, Executive Assistant to the F. H. A. Coordinator. Roll call - All ayes. Notion by Bentzen, seconded by Jackson, that the agreement between the City of Minneapolis and Columbia Heights regarding inter-connection of sewers, be turned over to the City Attorney and City ~nagerfor a check and report back to the next meeting. Roll call - All ayes. 1st ~eading of Ordinance # ~eing an Ordinance to protect and preserve the public health by regul~ th~ location, construction and operation of soil absorption systems for the disposal of human excreta and providing a p~n*lty for the violation thereof. ~!XX~NIIX~XEIIX~NX Resolution offered by Jackson, seconded by Bentzen, The City Council of the City of Columbia Heights heseby resolves, that it is advisable, expedient and necessary an8 this Council does hereby determine to make the following local imp~ovements, to-wit: Local Improvement from 45th to BOth, and Local Improvement # to BOth. to install water main on 6th St. to grade this street from 45th That the City ~nager be and he hereby is ordered to make careful estimate of the cost of each of such local improvements, together with a list of the several tots and parcels of land frc~ting upon and adjacent to such proposed improvements, which he deems benefited thereby and the names of the owners of the several parcels mW nearly as can be ascertained. That the City Manager be and he hereby is au.thorized and directed to prepare plans and specifications for making said improvements and submit the same to this Council for approval.
