Regular meeting called to order July 2th, 1941. Ail members oresent.
W.P.A. project for neu~ Fire Barn project ~50538 aoproved in emount of
$9,975.00.
Motion by Bentzea, ~conded by 9pekulsnt to pl3ce the communication
on file and write a letter of thanks to 9enator Shipstead for his
efforts. Roll call - Ali. ayes.
Motion by Jackson, sedonded by 9pekulant to place on file the letter from
the League of Mirn~esot~ Municipalities with reference to the examination
of Walter Cottrell for positron of Chief of Police, also letter from the
Civil Service Commission appointing him as Chief.. Roll call - All ayes.
Letter from the Columbia Heights Fire Dept. asking the Mayor and Council
to head the parade during the annual festival. Roll call - All ayes.
Motion by Bentzen, ~conded by Spekulant that the Council concur with the
above request and that Lloyd Griffin be notified to that effect. Roll
c~ll - All ayes.
Motion by Jackson, seconded by Bentzen to turn the petition for grading
52nd from University to 5th. Roll call - All ayes.
Motion by Spekulant seconded by Jackson, that the City Manager, Ci~ty
Attorney and Oouncilman Nygaard check on the collateral offered by the
Heights ~tate Ba:~k. Roll call - All ayes.
Police car bids.
Motion by J~ckson, seconded by ?entzen, that the bid of T,~ule Brouillar¢
be accepted as follows:
