Motion by Bentzen, seconded by 3ackson, that W Kuoo be gl'anted a license to ooerate a ten-stri]ke machine. Roll call - All a:~es. Notion by Pritchard, seconded by $oe~a!ant that Hilltoo Golf Course Ass'ri. be granted a restaurant, off and on sale liceaee. Roll call - All ayes. }~otion by Jackson, seconded by Bentzen, that the aoolication of Alfred W. Anderson for revocation of his licenses mhd transfer, be laid aside for two weeks and take the regular oroceedu~e. Roll call - All ayes. Motion by Pr~chard, seconded by Jackson, that the next Council meeting be set for Aoril 9th, in olace of AnriI Sth, due to the fact tht the Council will,tend a dinner in St. Paul given by the S~fety Council. Roll call - All ~ves. Motion by Prithee, seconded by Bentzen, that the General Electric Comoar~ be granted oermission to erect two coles on 4Srd between Monroe and Jackson St. Roll call - All ayes. Motion by Bentzen, seconded by Jackson, that ~he City set Aoril 25th to }~ay 2nd, in- clusive as Clean-Un Week. Roll call - All ~ves. Notion by Jackson, seconded by Bentz~m that the City i~[an~ger snend not more th~u $10. for Clean-Un week oosters. Roll call - All ayes. Large delegation of boys and also the Scout ~aster from the Lutheran Church heard from with reference to boys of 16 years not being allowed in Pool Halls. After much dis- cussion between the Council, the Chief of Police and the audience, it was decided to have a g~neral hearing on same, inviting the various ~iinisters, School Board., Coach Deanovic and others interested, meeting to be held in the City Offices, Aoril let. Notion by Pritchard, seconded by Bent zen, that the City l~anager be authorized to our- chase a safe for the Liquor Store, that he also have the sign oainted and reoaired, and that he get orices on cash registers. Roll call - All ~ves. Notion by Pritchard, seconded by Jackson, that the 0akwood }~other's Club be granted oerm~ssion to hold a dance Aoril 18th, and that %he fee be waived. Roll call - All ayes. Notion by Pritchard,' seconded by Bentzen that the City l~anager be instructedto ~lace a ~ui~able sign in front of the City Offices. Roll call - All ayes. Discussion on 44th Ave. City ~an~ger sta~ed that he had submitted olans to the WPA Engineers. Resolution offered by Pritchard, seconded by Soekulant - The City Council of the $ity of Columbia Heights hereby~solves: That the Columbia HeiEh~s Fire .Denartment be and it hereby is authorized and instructed to answer an alarm of Fire at the Northern Pump..
