BEING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 462 BEING
AN ORDINANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROMOTING HEALTH,
SAFETY, ORDER, CONVENIENCE AND GENERAL WELFARE BY
REGULATING THE USE OF LAND, THE LOCATION AND USE OF
BUILDINGS AND THE ARRANGEMENT OF BUILDING LOTS AND
DENSITY OF POPULATION OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS
THE CITY OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 462 is hereby amended as follows:
Section 5.6 Uses Permitted and Excluded, C-1 and C-1-S Districts.
A. Uses Permitted.
$. Bakeries, cafes, confectioneries, and ice cream and soft drink
shops, including the preparation of food products for retail sale
from their sites only.
shall now read as follows:

Section 2. Should any section, subdivision, clause or other provision of this ordinance
be declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision
shall not effect the validity of the Ordinance as a ~whole nor any part thereof
other than the part so declared 'to be invalid.
Section 3. Any person violating this Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and
upon conviction shall be punished by fine not to exceed $100.00 or by im-
prisonment for a period not to exceed 90 days.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall tak, e effect and be in full force from and after thirty (30)
days after its passage.
