BEING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.462,
BEING AN ORDINANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROMOTING
5MEALTH, SAFETY, ORDER, CONVENIENCE, AND GENERAL
WELFARE BY REGULATING THE USE OF LAND, THE LOCA
TION AND THE USE OF BUILDINGS AND TP~E ARRANGEMENT
of building lots and the density of population
IN THE CITY OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS.
THE CITY OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1.
That Section 8.5 A 2 be amended as follows:
2. (Ord. 544 - 5/14/62) R-2 DISTRICT - 50 feet,
or 40 feet for a one-family dwelling if the lot
iS one on an approved subdivision plat, and 70
feet for two family dwelling.
Section 2.
~. Section 7Al shall be amended to read as follows:
Parking spaces shall be provided:at the ratio of one
parking stall for each single dwelling unit, and two
parking stalls for each dwelling unit in any dwelling
containing more than one dwelling unit but less tha~
five dwelling units, and such number of parking stalls
as the Planning and Zoning Commission shall determine
for each dwelling unit in any dwelling containing more
than four dwelling units, but in no event less than 1%
nor more than 2% parking stalls for each dwelling unit.
Section 3.
~ Section 7B1 shall be amended to read as follows:
Each parking stall shall be not less than 200 square feet,
and shall be 10 feet by 20 feet in area with additional.

quired for dwellings over four units.
Section 6.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after Thirty (30) days after it's passage.
