HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 529ORDINANCE NO. 529 BEING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 462, BEING AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE LOCATION, SIZE AND HEIGHT OF BUILDINGS, THE ARRANGEMENT OF BUILDING LOTS, THE DENSITY OF POPULATION: ADOPTING A DISTRICT MAP CONTAINING BOUNDARIES OF DISTRICTS WITHIN EACH OF WHICH VARIOUS REGULATIONS SHALL APPLY, DEFINING CERTAIN TERMS USED HEREIN: REQUIRING THE PROVISION OF AUTOMBBILE PARKING SPECE: PROVIDING FOR EXCEPTION OF CERTAIN REGULATIONS: PROVIDING FOR AMENDtNG THESE REGULATIONS AND THE MAP: ESTABLISHING A BOARD OF APPEALS: PROVIDING FOR ADMINISTRATION AND ENFORCEMENT AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 171 AND ORDINANCES A~NDING SAME. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUmbIA HEIGHTS DOES ORDAIN: SECTION i. Ordinance No.462, Sub-section 8, is hereby amended by adding a subdivision to read: Sub-division A, That no tract of land whether platted or otherwise, within the City of Columbia Heights may be sub- divided without the approval of the City Council. The Zoning Administrator is authorized to withhold any building permit requested on any tract of land, which has been sub-divided contrary to the provisions hereof, until the subdivision has been approved by the said City Council. SECTION II~ It is understood that this ordinance does not require the prepayment of special assessments as a condition precedent to the subdivision of land. SECTION iii. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force ~rom and after thirty (30) days after its passage.
