UMBIA HEIGHTS ANNEX TO MIN~.~APOLIS
WHEREAS the plat of Block 57, Columbia Heiahts Annex
to Minneaooiis provides for a East West alley, and,
WHEREAS said mtat has been on record many years
and said alley has never been ooen or used, and
WHEREAS it is to the mutual benefit of all oersons
owning property abutting and adjoining said alley to have
said alley vacated,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE cITy OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS DOES
ORDAIN:
Section I. That the East West alley in Block 57,
Columbia Heights Annex to Minnea~o!is be and the ~ame
is hereby vacated.
Section II. This ordinance shall take effect and
be in force from and after 30 days after its massage.

PETITION FOR V,AC. ATI,ON OF ALLEY
TO THE HONORABLE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY_ OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS:
WHEREAS, the undersigned are a majority of the owners of Lots
to 33 inclusive, Block 5V, Columbia Heights Annex to Minneapolis,
Anoka County, Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the east and west alley in said Block 5V on which
said lots abut has for many years been abandoned; and
WHEREAS, the one-half of the abandoned alley adjoining each
of said lots has for many years past been used as a part of said
lots; and
WHEREAS, the owners of said lots have built garages on said
portions of the abandoned alley; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable that the title 'to that part of said
~lley which adjoins each of the foregoing lots should be vested
of record in'the owners of said lots;
NOW, THEREFORE, the undersigned, being a majority of the
~owners of Lots l~ to 23 inclusive, Block 5V, Columbia Heights Annex
to Minneapolis, Anoka County, Minnesota, do hereby respectfully
petition the Honorable City Council of the City of Columbia Heights,
Minnesota, to tske such steps as may be necessary to vacate the
east and west alley in said Block 57, lying between Madison Street
and Monroe Street.
