Avenues;also the alley midway between Jac~on and VanBuren Sts.ffrom 41at.Avenue to 360 fit.North. in explanation of thc foregoing request,said board of educ- ation declares that it has purchased or will purc]~ase all o£ the property facing on VanBuren Si.between 4.1st and 42nd. Avenues,also all the property on either side o£ the alley above mentioned flor a distance of 360 £t.~orth firom 41st.Avenue. The Board cfi Education £urther declares that without the vacating above refferred to it is not possible for the preparation and maintenance o£ an athletic fiield to be carried ~orward in future.It is also impossible to have a continuous school property unless this petition is granted. We respectfully petition this,believing that it will not harm anyone and that it will be to the best interests of the school district and the city,of which we are all a part.
