Such tioens- in~ shall be for the whole er unexpired portion of tho year ending on the ensuin~ first da~, of Providoa, That no license shall bo required for a dog or ~imal of the dog kind while it is tes~; th~m three months old. owner orKc: ,.p~'r,~r shall pay thero£or to tho City Clerk the dollars for each fema!¢ dog. ~ec. z. Tho City Clerk of said city shall, in tho matter ~,f issuin.~ such licenses, perform alI d~ties fixed by the general laws of the state. }[,~ shall, at ~ expens~ not exceeding five cents each, provide and furnish for each licensed dog a m~tal!io tag upon which he shall have stamped or engraved the register numOer of the dog and tho year when registered; the de~iKn of such metallic tag to be ch~ged eaca year, '. Any person wac sha]! m~e, ~ell, purchase, pos~.~ess, or shall place or a].lo~ to b~'plaoed on their dog any m~tallic tag of the S~EO form, shape, or intended to be like the official tag, or shall attempt in ~ny w$~y to counterfeit tho d,~slrn adopt~d for such official tag/ shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. ~ In case the said metallic tag is lost or stolen, after having beer~ regularly issued t~s h~roin provided, the owner or keeper of a dog upon prosontin~..~ ~d zurrondering to the Uity Clerk the license or reo~:~ipt issued when the dog w~s registered, numbered, do~cribed and licensed, as heroin provided, shall reo~ive a duplicate tag and a duplic~t~ tick, nsc upon t~c~,.~a,~m..nt of twenty-five cents ('~'~o~ '~) to the City Clerk, whi~ said duplicate license s~n~ll be registered, ~mbered, described and issued as tho ori~rinal license. ]~ut no person shall b~? granted a duplicate tag and license' unless ti',~.~ original tag h~as actu~]~ly been lost or stolen, and the City C!er~ may, ~efore is~uin~ such duplic~te tag ~nd license, require ~ afi'iaavit to Oo ~nade and ffurnl~hod by ~ch applio~nt for a duplicate license ~d taM, sett[n~ forth ~e f~ct theft such t~g has been lo~t or stolen ~d is not at t~e time in their Sec.
