BEING AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING POLICE FIRST HIRED AFTER
JUNE 15, 1972 TO BE MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES
RETIREMENT ASSOCIATION POLICE ~ FIRE FU~ AND ~tAKING
THEM INELIGIBLE FOR ~CBERSHIP IN THE COLUMBIA HEIGHTS
POLICE RELIEF ASSOCIATION
The City of Columbia Heights Does Ordain:
Section 1.
Notwithstandin~ the provisions of any general or
special law or charter amendment to the contrary,
all police first employed by the City on or after
June 15, 1972 shall be members of the Public Em-
ployees Retirement Association Police and Fire Fund
and shall not be eligible for membership in the
Columbia Heights Police Relief Association.
Section 2. This Ordinance will be in full force and effect from
and after thirty (30) days after its passage.
