HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 814CITY OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES · COLUMBIA HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA 55421 ORDINANCE NO. 814 BEING AN ORDINANCE REGARDING THE SALE OF NONINTOXICATING MALT LIQUORS AND PROHIBITING THE CONSUMPTION OF NONINTOXICATING MALT LIQUOR AFTER THE HOURS OF 1:30 A.M. AND PRO- VIDING THAT NO PERSONS OTHER THAN THE LICENSEE AND HIS EMPLOYEES SHALL REMAIN ON THE PREMISES AFTER 1:30 A.M. THE Ci. TY OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. Hours. In establishments licensed to sell nonintoxicati.ng malt liquors, no consumption of nonintoxicating malt liquor shall be allowed in said establishment between the hours of 1:30 and 8:00 a.m. Section 2. Violations. No person or customer, other than the licensee and his employees, may remain on the premises in such establishment after 1:30 a.m. No per- son, including customers, licensees, and employees, may consume nonintox- icating malt liquors on said premises or in such establishments between the hours of 1:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. Section 3. Severability and Exclusivity. No provisions contained in this Ordinance shall, in any way, limit or amend the provisions of Ordinance No. 143, 146, 174, 363, 366, 465, 574, or 610. Should any of the provisions of this Ordinance be held to be unconstitu-' tional or invalid by a Court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions of this Ordinance sha.]l remain in full force and effect. Section 4. Penalty. Any person violating any provision of this Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not more than $300.00 or imprisoned for a period not to exceed ninety days. Section 5. Time of Tak.in~ Effect This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after thirty (30) days after its passage.
