HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 793CITY OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES · COLUMBIA HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA 55421 ORDINANCE NO. #793 BEING AN ORDINANCE VACATING THE SOUTHERN PORTION OF LOOKOUT PLACE AND THE SOUTHERN END OF THE ALLEY LYING SOUTH OF A LINE PARALLEL WITH AND 82.5 FEET SOUTH OF THE SOUTH LOT LINES OF LOTS 8 AND 18 IN BLOCK 69, COLUMBIA HEIGHTS ANNEX TO MINNEAPOLIS, AND PLATTING A NEW PUBLIC STREET OVER AND ACROSS THE 60 FOOT STRIP OF LAND DESCRIBED AS THE SOUTHERLY 60 FEET OF THE NORTHERLY 82½ FEET OF LOT 17 AND THE SOUTHERLY 12½ FEET OF LOT 9, ALL OF LOT l0 AND THE NORTHERLY 12½ FEET OF LOT ll IN BLOCK 69, COLUMBIA HEIGHTS ANNEX TO MINNEAPOLIS. THE CITY OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS DOES OFI)AIN: Section 1. That Lookout Place and the public alley lying south of a line parallel with and 82.5 feet south of the south lot line of Lot 1~, in Block 69, and 12.5 feet north of the south line of Lot 11 in Block 69, Columbia Heights Annex to Minneapolis be, and the same are hereby vacated. Section 2. That as a part of said vacating, a new street right-of-way 60 feet in width be platted over and across the southerly 60 feet of the northerly 82½ feet of Lot 17 and the southerly 12.5 feet of Lot 9, all of Lot 10, and the northerly 12.5 feet of Lot 11 in Block 69, Columbia Heights Annex to Minneapolis. Section 3. That the owner of the properties adjoining the newly platted street be responsible for the necessary construction of the street including the cutting off of the city water main, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer in the vacated street and - 2 - alley right-of-ways and laying the new water mains, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, curbs, sidewalks, and street surfacing as specified by the City Engineering Department. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after thirty (30) days after its passage.
