That the City Manager of the City of Columbia
Heights is hereby directed to refrain from advertising
for bids for installing of storm and sanitary sewer
replacements in Jefferson Street N.E. between
39th and 40th AvenuesN,E.
Section
That the City Council has been advi, sed by the
Engineering Department of the City of Columbia
Heights that the sanitary sewer and storm sewer in
Jefferson Street between 39th and 40th Avenues is
inadequate, collapsed in places, and must be replaced
before further work can commence on the State Aid
street construction project.
Section 3.
That Luxenburg Construction Company, presently
under Contract with the C~ty for similar construction
has agreed, under the option for th~s additional
work tn Project 7107, to make the necessary
installations of storm and sanitary sewer under
their existing Contract prices where applicable with
an agreed up~on price of $16.00 per linear foot on
33" R.C.P. {nstalled and $10.00 per linear foot for,
8" P.V.C. All other unit prices to be the same as bid
on Project 7107, and said Luxenburg Construction
Company is authorized to proceed with the
construct ~ on.
Section 4.
This Ordinance being necessary for the immediate
preservation of public peace, health and safety
hereby declares ~t to be an emergency ordtnance and
shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
