BEING AN ORDINANCE AL{ENDING 0RDINANC~BEING AN 0RDIN.~d~CE TO
REGUL~_TE, THE CONSTRUCTION, EXTE~NSION, ALTER4TION AND REPAIQING
OF PLUMBING ~f0RK WITH THE CITY OF COLUI.~IA HEIGHTS TO PROVIDE
FOR SNNITARY INSTALLATION OF SAID PLUNBING W-01~K.
THE CITY COUNCIL IF THE SAID CITY OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 9, which read as follows:
"Section 3. Every licensed plumber before constructing, extending,
altering, or repairing any plumbing work or connecting any plumbing work with
a cesspool or sewage system or making any connection with the water system,
shall make application at the Office of the Inspector of Plumbing for a permit
for that permit and shall furnish the said Inspector with a written instrument
in relation to said work together with full plans and specifications of the
same when required for inspection by the said inspector, after which, if it
appear to said inspector that the laws and ordinances are contemplated to be com-
plied with, he shall grant such permit. Permits shall not be required for repair-
lng leaks and drain, soil, waste and vent pipes, or for resetting fixtures or re-
pairs to faucets, valves or water supply p~pes."

recommend, shall be required for repairing leaks in drains, soil, waste and vent
pipes, for ~esetting fixtures or repairs to faucets, valves or water supply pipes.
Section 2, That Section 1~ of Ordinance No. 9, which rea~s as follows:
"Section 1~. The fees for inspection shall be,for any one fixture, $.50'
For any Other additional fixture, up to five, the sum of $.50 each. All additional
fixtures above five, $.25 each. Inspection fees must be paid at the time of the
filing of plans with the Office of the Inspector of Plumbing."
