Ail meters measuring the quantity of water purchased frown the Ci%y of Columbia Heights shall be purchased from, and under the exclusive control of, s~:id city. Section 2. Ayplication fop RieteP. Ail applications fop the stallation~ maintenance, and repair of ~;{ater meters shall be }~ade the City j.{anager, who shall proceed to comply ~%~.2h such application v/lenin a Peasonabie time thereafter. Section 3. Me~ers Not to be Installed by -- No -oePson~ associa- tion, firm~ co-partnership oF corporation, ~hetner licensed or unli- censed to do ptumbing~ shall instalt~ maintain~ oF repair any water meter v~/i~nin the Git%r of 0oiumbia ?!ei~3hts. Section %~ Ali Neters to be Sealed. Every '~vater meter heretofore or hereafter ins'halted u~ithin the corporate limits of the City of Col- umbia Hei~:'hts s~lall he sealed by oF under the direction of the City Manager, and no person, association, fiP~l~ oo-gartmePsk}ip, or' corpora- tion s~!all break oF Pc!ore such seal; provided~ ho~;;ovel', %!ta% a }lure?er licensed to do business v:itnin the GJ.%y of Cotu~nbia ~_ei&hts ~a}; break such seal or remove suon meter for necessary re,airs. All water motor's .heretofore or hereafter installed ',vit}~_in the Oi%}~,~ of Colu.~b].a laet&%ts shall he accessable to the 0itY .ianasleP at any reasonable hour of any bus,ness day, and %he refusal of admission 'by any owner or occupant of any premises wherein a ~ater meter is installed, of the City _~anager of any person duly authorized by him to inspect such water meters, af'ter such owner or occupant has been notified that admission is desired for the purpose of inspecting a water meter installed in said premises, shall constitute a violation of this ordinance. Section C. Penalties for Violation. Every person violating any of t~e p-~ovisions of this Ordinance s!~all be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fJme of not more than One !~[undred (~}[~100.00) Dollars, or by imprisonment for not more than ninety (90) days, and each violation thereof shall constitute a separate offense. Section V.
