HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 81-72RESOLUTION 81- 72 CANVASSING MUNICIPAL SPECIAL ELECTION RETURNS WHEREAS, the City of Columbia Heights did, on the 15th day of December, 1981, conduct and hold a Special Municipal Election for the purpose of submitting to a vote of the electors the following question: On September 28, 1981, the City passed an ordinance (No. 975) rezoning the property at 3940 Peters Place, Columbia Heights, from "CBD", BUSINESS DISTRICT to "R-3", MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT. This property is legally described as the East 165 feet of the South 180 feet of the North 330 feet of Block 4, Walton's Rearrangement of Lots 33 and 34, Block 6, Reservoir Hills, Anoka County, Minnesota. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights at a special meeting of said Council, held on the 19 day of December, 1981, did canvass the returns and results of said Special Municipal Election; and, WHEREAS, the following results were determined by said canvass of said Special Municipal Election, to-wit: Total Ballots Cast in the Election Valid Ballots Cast Defective Ballots Cast ..... 1,477 ..... 1,475 Valid Votes for the Measure Valid Votes Against the Measure 872 603 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights, that a majority of the electors voting on said measure have voted in favor thereof, it shall become an ordinance of the City effective immediately.
