HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 80-68RESOLUTION 80~8 WHEREAS, the City of Columbia Heights recently amended its ordinance with regard to Certificate of Code Compliance for dwellings; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Columbia Heights City Council does hereby adopt the following list of fees (as per attached) for Certificate of Code Compliance. Nawrockl u~;i 1 Secreta r~)'---~ ARTICLE X CERTIFICATE OF CODE CONPLIANCE FEES Fees Required. The Director of Inspections, before issuing any certificate of code compliance or making any prerequisite inspection, shall require the payment by the applicant for such certificate of code compliance of the fees in the amounts herein set forth. One-and-Two Family Dwellings. The fee for a one-or-two family dwelling shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00). Multiple Dwellings. The fee for multiple dwellings such as apartment houses, tenement houses, rooming houses, boarding houses, dormitories, fraternity and sorority houses, any building containing combinations of the above types of occupancy, and other similar type buildings shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00) for the first dwelling, tenement or rooming unit, plus twenty dollars ($20.00) for each additional dwelling or tenement unit, and three dollars ($3.00) for each additional rooming units. Hotels. The fee for hotels shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00) for the first dwelling rooming unit or hotel sleeping room, plus ten dollars ($10.00) for each additional dwelling unit; three dollars ($3.00) for each rooming unit or hotel sleeping room; and seven dollars and fifty ($7.50) for each one thousand (1,000) square feet of floor area, or fraction thereof of public rooms or areas (dining rooms, ballrooms, bars, lobbies, etc.) Commercial or Industrial Buildings. The fee for commercial or industrial buildings shall be seventy-five dollars ($75.00) for the first one thousand (1,000) square feet, or fraction thereof, of floor area plus five dollars ($5.00) for each additional one thousand (1,000) square feet of floor area, or fraction thereof.
