WHEREAS~ the City of Columbia Heights m, ade application to the Economic
Develot:.ment Administration (herein referred to as E.D,A.) for Federal
Grant Assistance in the amount of $4t3,000~ pursuant to the require~
ments o'F the Local Public Works Capital Development and !nvestm~-nt 2re-
gram~ to renovate and construct an addition to 'the City's Hunicipal
Public, ,,qaf~:.~v, ~ Building, based upon E.D~.A.'s calculation of funds
available to the City, and
WHEREAS~ subsequent to submission of said application,.

1. The City Council shall appropriate the sram of $190,000 te the
Municipal ~'ublic Safety Building Additicn and Renovation Project~
to be combined with funds from the Economic Devclopment Administ=.a--

2, in the even~ the U~ S. Departme~;~c c'f Commerce re-allocates 'funds
in an amount equal to or in excess of the or~ginai Planning Target
amount to the City subsequent te this resolution; and prior to the
start ef constr~mtion thereof, ti~e action taken herein to appropriate
~qunicipal Funds wculJ be automatically rescinded~
