CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITy OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CiTY COUNCIL of the City of Columbia
Heights, tha~
WHEREAS, negotiations have proceeded with the Department of Trans-
portation resulting in a mutually acceptable agreement whereby a
public sidewalk shall be autho~'ized for construction along Central
Avenue within the City of Columbia Heights fr~m q5%h Avenue north
to the corporate limits of Columbia Heights, and
WHEREAS, it -~s uv,,derstoo~i that as a part of this authorizatio~, to
proceed with said sidewaik.constr~ction, the cost sharing shall be
borne 70 percent by federal monies, and the remaining $0 percent
to be divided 3/4 City and 1/4 state.
NOW THEREFORE the City of Columbia Heights does hereby officially
request the State Department of Transportation to proceed with the
necessary ..... '
p~ep~rau~on of plans for the design and construction of a
public sidewalk in cooperation with the City of Columbia Heights,
with saSd work to proceed as promptly as can be accomplished,
recognizing the need for work to proceed on schedule on the major
portion of the construction of 'Lhe highway itself under the Urban-
