BEING A RESOLUTION TO ACQUIRE TAX FORFEITED PROPER_~Y
WIiEREAS, the City of Co!um%ia Heights is desirous of acquiring certain
properties located within ins municipal boundaries for the preservation of
the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Columbia Heights, and
kq~EREAS, the City of Columbia Heights has studied the possibility of
using properties described herein as a possible site for a public safety
building, a rifle range, and other municipal services, and
WHEREAS, Anoka County has had certain properties forfeited to it, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Columbia Heights that said
City apply to the Anoka County Board of Commissioners for the acquisition
of the said preperty, and
~EREAS, the foregoing property would be used for public purposes,
NOW, TiiEREFORE, BE IT P~ESOLVED BY THE CITY CO~JNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COLd, IA HEIGHTS:
1. That the City of Columbia Heights acquire the following described
properties, to-wit:
Plat #32682, Parcel #609 legally described as Lot 1, Auditor's
Subdivision Number 51, according to the recorded plat on file
and of record in the office of the Register of Deeds in and
for Anoka County, Minnesota, (Ex. N. 30') (Ex. W. 140' platted
as Temple Terrace) (Ex. part for hv~. which lies within a dist.
of 121' W'ly of E. line cf Sec. 26-30-24) Together with a
strip of land 5' in width adjoining & W'!y. of above desc.
strip, beg. opposite a point on E. line of said Sec. 26 dist.
372.1' S/ly on N. line of said Sec. 26, when meas. along said
E. Sec. line, & extending S'!y to.S. line of above desc. tract.
Also together with a strip o~ lan~ 5' in width adjoining &
W'ly of first above desc~ strip. Beg. opposite a point on E.
line of said Sec. 26 dist. 62.1' S'ly of N. line of said Sec~
26 & extending S'!y for 90', both distances being meas. along
said E. Sec. line. Together with all right of access being the
right of ingress to & egress from all that portion of above
desc. tract not acquired herein to Trk. Hwy. #65 except~ that
the abutting owner shall retain the right of access between

when meas. along said E. Sec. line. (Ex. part platted as

4th) (Subj. to public road & Utility ease. over S. 30' to City
of Columbia Heights)
That the Mayor and City Manager be and herein are authorized to
enter into an application to make such acquisition.
3. That the cost of said acquisition be paid from its proper fund.
