CIPAL EMPLOYEES FOR VOLUNTEER WORK DONE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights, that W~EREAS, during the past few years, we have in the course of our municipal operations constructed new facilities and worked on emergency programs in which muni'cipal employees were involved, and WHEREAS, these individuals Nave given more of their time and abilides than could be reasonably expected under the circumstances, but due to their conscientious, dedication to their job, have seen fit to donate their time and efforts resulting in better ~orking conditions, more complete facilities, and better service to our taxpayers, NOW, THEREFORE, this City Council in accordance ~ith their stated objectives in the past, do hereby take these means of honoring all those i. ndtv~dual ~n~cipa] employees who have assisted our community in donating t~eir time and effort on jobs including, but not limited to: I. Building the pistol range in the LiSrary basement. 2. Installing proper lighting fixtures tn the administration offices and the former Jengineering office. 3. Painting of the new Municipal Services Building. 4. Assisting citizens in emergencies during off-duty hours 5. Displaying tn general t~e type of dedication to our community which has been exemplor¥. - 2 - On behalf of, and representing the c~tizens of Columbia Heights, the C~t¥ Council hereby expresses their gratitude.
