HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 72-61CITY OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES 1 · COLUMBIA HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA 55421 RESOLUTION #72~1 BEING A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENTS BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights by motion on the 14th day of August, 1972 ordered notice of a hearing to be given to property owners, and WHEREAS, pursuant to a notice of hearing certain residents appeared at a Council meeting on the 29th day of August, ]972, and WHEREAS, the Council determines to proceed with this local improvement, a portion of the cost bei.ng defrayed by special assessments under Charter provisions. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED: That the location and ex tent of such improvement is as follows: Storm drain curb with 24" drain gutter of concrete and 3' bituminous apron from 49th to 50th Avenue, from Jackson to Central Avenue N.E. 2. T-at the materials to be used are as follows: Concrete and asphalt materials. That a careful estimate of the cost of the improvement has been made by the City Manager and the several lots and parcels of land fronting upon and adjacent to such proposed improvement, which he deemed benefited thereby, were properly notified of said hearings, and - 2 - 4. That the City Manager shall also list the names and owners of the several parcels so improved as nearly as can be ascertained. That it is the intention of this City Council to divide the assessment for this improvement on the basis of 60% to the property owners of commercial properties east of the drain curb and 40% to the property owners on the west side of the drain curb. 6.
