RESOLUTION #72-30
METRO SEWER BENEFITS FOR SEWER SERVICE AREA #1
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Columbia Heights, that
~/HEREAS, an Advisory Board has been established representing
communities in an area known as Sewer Service Area #1 which
area includes Columbia Heights, and
WHEREAS, our representative to said Board in cooperation
with the other representatives, has determined that the City
should support a fair and equitable calculating system for
determining the dollar amount of metropolitan benefit
described in their April 13, 1972 minutes as Alternative A,
which Alternative limits the financing to metropolitan benefits
of natural water resources ~in our area, as the best and most
equitable policy for determining metropolitan benefits and is
opposed to any broad all-inclusive definition of metropolitan
benefits as being contrary to the intent of law in the
all6cation of sewer costs and would be an economic liability
to our service area,
NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Columbia
Heights does hereby endorse Alternative A as recommended in the
Advisory Board meeting of April 13, 1972 and said recommendation
on the policy paper on metropolitan sewer benefits for Sewer
Service A r~$ #1 is hereby made a part of this resolution as
though set forth in full.
