HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 70-32R E S 0 L U T I O N SETTING THE SALARY AND FRINGE BENEFITS FOR 1970 FOR MEMBERS OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights that the following salary and fringe benefit schedules be established for calendar year 1970 with the salary schedules to be effective January l, 1970: 1. Salaries. Sergeants $925 per month, top patrol after four ~ears $8~'5 per month, top dispatcher after four (4) years $731 per month, as of January 1, 1970. Step schedule to be adjusted using present criteria for patrol and dispatcher with less than the maximum seniority, investigators to receive $35 per month in lieu of over-time. 2. Hospitalization. City to pay the individual employee's premi urn. 3. Uniform Allowance. $125.OO per year by voucher for uniform personnel; $50.00 per year for dispatchers. Uniform damaged in the line of duty shall be replaced or repaired by the City in the event the individual's allowance has been depleted. 4. False Arrest Insurance. To be furnished by the City. 5. Court Time. Personnel required to appear in court during off duty time will receive a minimum of two (2) hours time at 1½ times their normal rate. Additional time to be paid at straight time. 6. Prior to any negotiations for a 1971 ,agreement, a committee of city officials and police personnel are to meet and resolve the pension program for police personnel.
