HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 37-22RESOLUTION WHE~REAS, the primary election was held ~ay 24th, 1937, in the City of Columbia Heights for the election of municipal officers~ and WMEMEAS, the City Council has canvassed the return of said election, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBI~ HEIGHTS HEREBV RESOLVES: Section I. a. That the total of good ballots cast for candidates was 1794. b. That the total number of spoiled or defected ballots was l; Section II. That the following candidates received the following vote for the designated office: Mayor: L. W. Bassett A. E. Ricker Council: 1081 709 Section III. a. That the total vote cast,£or the amendment, which amends Section 13 of Chapter 2 of the City Charter of Columbia Heights, was 1660. b. That the total spoiled and defectediballots was 4. c. That the total number of ballots cast for the amendment was 965 and that the total number of ballots cast against the amendment was 615. Section IV.~ That the persons elected in said election are as follows: Mayor - L. W. Bassett; Council- Roy Bentzen and R. J. Pritchard. Roy Bentzen 1150 R. J. Pritchard 1014 Adolph M.Anderson 689 John Smude r 628~ Section V. That the said ~mendment not having received the requisite vote for adoption was not ratified nor adopted.
