HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 35-11 WPHEREAS, The City of Columbia Heights did on the 16th day of September 1935, conduct and hold a special election to determine the following question, quote: it resolved that the resolution passed on April 24, 1934, which reads as follows, to-wit: "Be it Resolved by the City Council of the City of Colu~nbia Heights avail itself of the provisions of Chapter 299 of the Laws of Minnesota for the year 1929, and all acts amendatory thereof, relating to Police Civil Service Comr~issions, and the City Council does hereby expressly accept the provisions thereof.?,. be and the same hereby is repealed." and, WHERE~S, The City Council of the City of Columbia at a Special ~eetlng o? said Council Heightsmheld on the 1Vth day of September 1935, did can- vass the returns and results of said special election; and, WHEREAS; The following results were determined by said canvass of said Special Election, to-wit: Valid Ballots cast V76 Void Ballots cast None Total Ballots cast V76 For the Measure 489 Against the ~easure 287 NOW THEREFORE be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Col~mbia Heights that it is the finding and determination of the said Council that a majority of votes cast in the said Special Election were cast in favor of the proposition proposed.
