RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE
MODIFICATION BY THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS OF THE DOWNTOWN CDB REVITALIZATION
PLAN FOR THE REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT; AND THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF THE MULTI-USE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN TAX
INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT AND THE ADOPTION AND
APPROVAL OF THE TAX INCREMENT FINANCING PLAN RELATING
THERETO, LOCATED WITHIN THE REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council (the "Council") of the City of
Columbia Heights, Minnesota (the "Oity"), as follows:
Section 1. Public Hearing. This Council shall meet on Monday, August
28, 1989, at approximately 7:30 p.m., in Murzyn Hall, 530 Mill St. N.E. to hold
a public hearing on the following matters:
(a) the modification of the Redevelopment Project by the Housing and
Redevelopment Authority by the establishment of the Multi-Use
Redevelopment Plan Tax Increment Financing District located within
the Redevelopment Project.
(b) the modification of the Downtown CBD Revitalization Plan for the
Redevelopment Project, and
(c) the adoption and approval of the Tax Increment Financing Plan for
the Multi-Use Redevelopment Plan Tax Increment Financing District
within the Redevelopment Project all pursuant to and in accordance
with Minnesota ~tatutes, Sections 469.001 to 469.047, inclusive, as
amended, the Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.174 to 469.179
inclusive, as amended. ' ,
Section 2. Notice of Hearing; Eilin9 of .Plans. The City Manager is
authorized and directed'to cause no~ice of the hearing, substantially in the form
attached hereto as Exhibit A, to be given as required by law, to place a copy of
the proposed Modified Downtown CBD Revitalization Plan and proposed Tax Increment
Financing Plan on file in the City Manager's office and to make such plans
available for inspection by the public, commencing July 25, 1989.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights, Minnesota,
on July 24 , 1989.
