HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 88-25R E S O L U T I O N NO. 88 -25 BEING A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENTS BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City of Columbia Heights by motion on the 25th day of January, 1988 ordered notice of a hearing to be given to property owners, and WHEREAS, pursuant to a notice of hearing certain residents appeared at a Council Meeting on the 21st day of March, 1988, and WHEREAS, the Council determines to proceed with this local improvement, a portion of the cost being defrayed by special assessments under Charter provisions· NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED: 1. That the location and extent of such improvements is as follows: Sealeoating of all Bituminous Streets in the Southwest Quadrant of the City (Area II) or that part bounded by 37th Avenue N.E. on the South, California and Main Streets N.E. on the West, 44th Avenue N.E. on the North and Central Avenue N.E. on the East. Work includes selective concrete curb and gutter repairs, bituminous surface patching and sealcoating. 2. That the materials to be used are as follows: Miscellaneous concrete curb repair, bituminous patching, asphalt emulsion and sealeoat aggregate. That a careful estimate of the cost of the improvements has been made by the City Manager and the several lots and parcels of land fronting upon and adjacent to such proposed improvements, which be deemed benefited thereby, were properly notified of said hearings, and That the City Manager shall also list the names and owners of the several parcels so improved as nearly as ean be ascertained, however, if the following streets are reconstructed within two years from the date of this hearing, credit will be given for the cost of this seal coat: 4th St., 40th Ave. - 42nd Ave.; 6th St., 40th Ave. - 45th Ave.; 7th St., 40th Ave. - 44th Ave.; Washington St., 40th Ave. - 43rd Ave.; Madison St., 40th Ave.- 44th Ave.; Monroe St., 40th Ave. - 41st Ave. Quincy St., 40th Ave. - 43rd Ave.; and VanBuren St., 40th Ave. - 41st Ave. 5. That the City Manager shall proceed With taking of bids for the improvements, or portions of the improvements as stated herein. 6. These improvements shall also be known as P.I.R. $826 - Project 8800. Passed this 21st day of March, 1988.
