RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE
MODIFICATION BY THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY IN AND FOR THE CITY OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS OF
THE DOWNTOWN CBD REVITALIZATION PLAN FOR THE
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT; AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE
SULLIVAN LAKE TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT AND
THE ADOPTION AND APPROVAL OF THE TAX INCREMENT
FINANCING PLAN RELATING THERETO, LOCATED WITHIN THE
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council (the "Council") of the City of
Columbia Heights, Minnesota (the "City"), as follows:
Section 1. Public Hearing. This Council shall meet on Monday, June 15,
1987, at approximately 7:30 p.m., to hold a public hearing on the following matters:
(a) the modification by enlargement of the geographic project area of the
Redevelopment Project by the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the
City, and the establishment by the Authority of the Sullivan Lake Tax Increment
Financing District located within the Redevelopment Project, (b) the modification
of the Downtown CBD Revitalization Plan for the Redevelopment Proieet, and (e)
the adoption and approval of the Tax Increment Financing Plan for the Sullivan
Lake Tax Increment Financing District within the Redevelopment Project all
pursuant to and in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, Sections 462.411 to
462.716, inclusive, as amended, and Minnesota Statute.s,, Sections 273.71 to 273.78,
inclusive, as amended.
- Section 2. Notice of Hearing~ F. iling of Plans. The Clerk-Treasurer is
authorized and directed to cause notice of the hearing, substantially in the form
attached hereto as Exhibit A, to be given as required by law, to place a copy of the
proposed Modified Downtown CBD Revitalization Plan and proposed Tax Increment
Financing Plan on file in the City Clerk-Treasurer's office and to make such plans
available for inspection by the public, commencing June 1, 1987.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights, Minnesota, on
May 26, 1987.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Couneilmember Peterson , and upon vote being taken thereon,
the following voted in favor thereof:
Nawrocki, Paulson, Petkoff, Carlson, Peterson
and the following voted against the same:
None
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, and was sj~ned by
the Mayor and attested to be the City Clerk-Treasurer. z //
