THIS RES(LbTION, passed tkis ] 0day of February, 1986 by the City of Col~mbia Heights in Ancka
County, Minnesota. The M~nicipal corporation shall hereinafter be called the "City".
WHEREAS, the "City" has planned the i~provment of M.S.A.S. 119 and
WHEREAS, the "City", will be expending M~nicipal State Aid Funds on the improvement of this
street, and
WHEREAS, the design of this i~0rovmant does not provide for mi~m~ M.S.A.S. design standards
for ~orizontal and vertical curves lying betw~on stations 10+50 and 17+50
That the "City" requests a variance of ~ta Rules for State Aid Operations, Chapter
8820.9912 as follows:
Ma~i~ de~ree of ~orizontal curvature for curve #1. The ~ de~ree of curvature for
30 M.P.H. travel is 21.0 de~rees. We propose a design degree of curve of 26 de~rees 38',
or design centerline radius of 215 feet, thereby allowing a design speed of 25 M.P.H.
2. ML~n vertical curve lergths at stations 11+25, 12+85, 15+40, 16+85. in all cases, we
propose design lengths corresponding to a design speed of 25 M.P.H.
