'BE~G A R£SOLUT~ON ORDERING IMPROVEMENTS
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights by Motion on the
27th day of January, 1986 ordered notice of a hearing to be given to to
property owners, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to a notice of hearing certain residents appeared at a
Council Meeting on the 25th and 31st day of March, 1986, and
WHEREAS, the Council determines to proceed with this local improvement, a
portion of the cost being defrayed by special assessments under Charter
provisions.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED:
That the location and extent of such improvements is as follows:
Reconstruction of Johnson Street N.E. from 37th Avenue N.E. to 40th
Avenue N.E., S.A.P. ]13-]19-0].
Funding to come from Municipal State Aid funds, water utility fund, and
special assessment of water service replacements.
Work would include new bituminous surfacing, storm sewer improvements,
curb and gutter, extension of and replacement of one water main, replace-
ment of old galvanized and lead water services within the street right-
of-way from the curb stop to the City main, and miscellaneous associated
construction items.
Sewer and water service replacements are to be special assessed to the
affected properties on a per parcel basis if replacement is necessary.
2. That the materials to be used are as follows:
Aggregate base, bituminous surfacing, concrete curb and gutter, concrete
servicewatk and driveway aprons, sod, 6'' ductile iron pipe, 1'~ copper
water service pipe, 4~ cast iron sewer pipe, reinforced concrete storm sewer
pipe, concrete manholes and catch basins and various apurtenances.
That a careful estimate of the cost of the improvements has been made
by the City Engineer and the several lots and parcels of land fronting
upon and adjacent to such proposed improvements, which be deemed benefited
thereby, were properly notified of said hearings, and
.4. That the City Manager shall list the names and owners of the several
parcels so improved as nearly as can be ascertained.
5. That the City Manager shall proceed with taking of bids for the
improvements, or portions of the improvements, as stated herein,
6. These improvements shall also be known as P.I.R. #806 - Project #8303.
